Today I followed Kongsberg Conference on twitter and CoverItLive and it has made me ponder a bit on how to come up with further digital literacy and utilize the tools we have available in a better way. I think a lot of hurry up slowly and it's definitely a lot of exciting around. Unfortunately, there is a section that is blocked by the already established solutions such as fronts and It's learning, not least as building schools and organizations. Hang you on this thought experiment:
It is discovered asbestos in the whole school building and the school is closed. There is no other local pupils and teachers can use. In addition, Ryk servers where LMS is (Fronter / It 's learning, or other). You must have teaching and ensure that pupils' skills as goals the next year.
What are you doing?

If it was just It's learning that did not work, I would suggested to have teaching in Second Life. One could surely have arranged a classroom there. I think it should have been pretty good actually

I think it would be just fine if LMS'en disappeared. It would challenge me to find other solutions using web 2.0 tools and social media. I might as well have liked to set up a NING network for example, they facilitated the work of learning to the students there. What's nice about it is that the interface on a NING network resembles very on facebook, which makes it relatively easy for students to orient themselves in the network on its own (since we do not have classrooms to joint review of how to use it ... ). In addition, we can choose whether we want to use the wiki, blog and / or googledocs, and connect this with NING'en.
The biggest challenge had been no lack of LMS, but the lack of classrooms and thus face-to-face contact with students. When working with students via the Web is easy to become a kind of "correspondence courses". Teachers post assignments that students solve and deliver only to get a written response, etc. This is suitable perhaps for a few students / subjects, but for most students this will be the exclusive focus on the written work. Therefore, it would also be important, I think, to create venues and meeting places where we can work in ways other than writing. This can be both synchronous, such an appointment and meet with the webcam, or asynchronously, eg by means of admission. Teachers can make a film in which a topic / problem is presented and the students can, by using simple technology filming an answer, a performance or a simple presentation and deliver it.
These are just some of the things you can do about LMS'en and the school was gone. Basically this was a little fun thought experiment. Maybe we should shut down for it's learning at school for some months to see what happened. Many more teachers would probably put to use some other tools and perhaps made some positive experiences.

There were many good and concrete proposals. The age limit for projection is 13 years. May http://edmodo.com be an alternative?

Edmodo I have too little experience to be able to say much about me ;-) Works even in high school so that an age limit of 13 is problematic for us. Could be interesting to hear from someone who works with much younger students to get some input on how they would resolve this.
